Robert Harold Hadley Sr., 82, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. He was born on June 10, 1940 in Adair County to the late Bart F. and Allene (Hale) Hadley. Robert worked at AAK as a production manager/director for 52 years and was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, golfing, landscaping, gardening and was an avid runner and cyclist in his day. He loved to read and was considered a lifelong learner. He valued education and most of all he was a family oriented man. Robert will be truly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Sally Hadley; his sister, Carol Hadley; and a grandson, Elijah Howlett.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Rosalyn Rae Howlett (Chris); son, Robert Harold Hadley Jr.; three grandchildren, Chloe, Josiah and Lydia Howlett; two brothers, Dwight Hadley (Catherine) and Maxie Hadley (Kathy); along with a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held, Friday, March 10, 2023 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. and again on Friday from 10 a.m. until time for the service at 2 p.m.
