Carl Eugene Burton, 63, of Columbia, KY passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024, at his home in Columbia, KY. He was born on May 9, 1961, in Columbia, KY to the late James Harlin and Jewell Edna Harmon Burton.
Mr. Burton was a member Bloomington Chapel Brethren in Christ Church, he enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, racing , hunting and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include three Children Rebecca Bright (Gerald) of Campbellsville, KY; Carolyn Burton (Chase Firkins) of Columbia, KY; Jacob Burton (Stefanie) of Campbellsville, KY; nine grandchildren Sarah-Ann Bright (Dalton), Trevor Bright, Noah Bright, Gracie Burton, Madison Harris, Anna Gene Harris, LillyAna Burton, Harper Burton and Preston Burton; five siblings Elizabeth Burton, Carolyn Jean Burton, Woodrow Burton, Dorinda Streeval (Jeff) all of Columbia, KY, and Davis Lee Burton (Rita) of Gary, Indiana and several other friends and relatives.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Andrew Burton and a sister Dorkis Burton.
Funeral service will be 1:00pm Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Bearwallow Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday after 10:00am at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
Bro. Ralph Foster will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Willie Wooley, Keith Streeval, Larry Irvin, Bradley Irvin, Tyler Burton, Lee Burton, Chin Burton and Nick Brown.
Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family request in lieu of flowers that donation be made to the funeral home to assist with the funeral expenses.
